WHO ARE WE
Youth Atlantic Treaty Association (YATA Turkey), is a youth organization and think tank that aims to inform young people about international security and foreign policy issues and organizes events for this purpose.
YATA Turkey was founded on July 15, 2005, by the decision of the board of directors of the Turkish Atlantic Council Association, which has been operating since 1954 and acts under the supervision of the Turkish Atlantic Council Association.
YATA Turkey; It also constitutes the Turkish branch of the Young Atlantic Treaty Association (YATA International), which was constituted in 1996 under the auspices of the International Atlantic Treaty Association.
YATA Turkey
- To train future diplomats and academics,
- To represent our country in the international area,
- Building a strong network among the political leaders of the future,
- To develop and strengthen cooperation between the youth of NATO member states, Partnership countries for NATO Peace, and NATO observer countries,
- Attaching young leaders to TransAtlantic Security relationships while helping them shape the future of those relationships.
- Contributing to the deepening of cooperation between key importance security organizations such as NATO, the European Union, the United Nations, the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe, and the Council of Europe,
- It was established to contribute to the work of Atlantic Treaty Association.
Along with all these, our organization allows us to establish new and concrete friendships; it also helps us to form bonds between different cultures.
Together, we believe that we can create a better world where respect, peace, and security prevail, not only specific to certain regions but also encompassing the whole world.
